Financial Resources

For individuals in the bleeding disorders community, managing the financial aspects of treatment and care can be a significant challenge. To help alleviate this burden, a range of financial assistance resources are available. These programs offer support through financial aid to cover medical expenses, medication costs, and other related needs. By providing crucial financial relief, these resources aim to ensure that individuals and families can focus on their health and well-being without the added stress of financial strain.

Lifeline Medical Assistance

Addressing and managing a bleeding disorder can be highly expensive. The Lifeline Program, managed by the Utah Hemophilia Foundation, offers financial assistance to individuals with bleeding disorders.

Emergency Assistance

The UHF has allocated a limited amount of funding for one-time emergency assistance to help Utahns with bleeding disorders cover essential living expenses. Please note that not all applications will receive the full amount of requested funding, as the awarded amount will depend on the current fund balance. To apply, please contact Jan Western at the UHF office at western@hemophiliautah.org.

Manufacturer Assistance

Programs are available to help reduce the financial burden for medications. This list of manufacturer programs includes insurance navigation, manufacturer copay assistance for people who have insurance but need help with out-of-pocket costs for bleeding disorder prescriptions, and product assistance for people who are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing a lapse in coverage.
